Connecting Toowoomba's Arts Community: The Network for Regional Performing Arts Story

About Artalogue®

Artalogue® is Toowoomba's community arts hub - one place for local arts groups to plan and promote their events, and one place for the public to discover and book performances, lessons, and experiences.

The Problem We're Solving

When three local women - Kylie, Calista and Caroline - started talking to community arts groups across the region, they uncovered some alarming trends. A third of groups were struggling to find committee members (without which they must legally fold), and 75% were worried about their financial future.

But the conversation revealed something else: these groups wanted to work together to solve these challenges for good.

One Platform, Multiple Solutions

Artalogue® connects Toowoomba's arts community through:

  • Shared Events Calendar - Plan concerts and activities without clashing, negotiate when you do
  • Comprehensive Directory - Find music teachers, bands, choirs, and performance groups in one place
  • Booking Promotion - Supporting our community by providing event information and booking info

The Network Behind Artalogue®

The Network for Regional Performing Arts Inc. (NRPA) operates Artalogue as part of our five core objectives:

  1. Connect community arts groups, audiences, business, and government through artalogue.com.au
  2. Advocate as the voice for community arts at decision-makers' tables
  3. Communicate as the information and education hub for our sector
  4. Conserve artistic practices for future generations
  5. Educate through pathways for skill development and creative expression

Why This Matters

Community arts creates connection, belonging, and joy whilst generating significant economic activity through thousands of volunteer hours. We're the linchpin that helps people find their tribe - because let's face it, artists and musicians are a bit different, and we need each other.

What's Next

Stage One is building awareness - getting every arts group, participant, and audience member using Artalogue® as their go-to platform. Stage Two focuses on building our advocacy story.
